Kaye retired from Bluescope Steel in 2006, where she was employed as External Affairs Officer & Editor of Kembla Lines newspaper. During her 34 years at Bluescope Steel, Kaye's responsibilities included: employee inductions, employee services, employee development, training and organisational restructure, along with plant visits.

Ian is self-employed as a Strategic Advisor and is an experienced director and general manager. He has 36 years experience in large steel manufacturing, mining and sugar manufacturing businesses in Australasia, the South Pacific and South Africa. He has significant experience in a number of different fields - he started as a trainee metallurgist at John Lysaght (Aust) in 1976 and has also worked in business management, operations, logistic management, sales and marketing.
