Ambulance cover

Did you know that an ambulance ride could cost you thousands?

We paid a $4,300 ambulance fare in 2021 with zero out-of-pocket expenses for our member.

Ambulance transport is generally very expensive. In  NSW for instance, the minimum ambulance charge for an emergency call-out is $407 before you even hit the road where a per kilometre charge of $3.67 is added. The maximum charge for a road ambulance is $6,668.

Remember, there are also air and sea ambulances, which cost even more – up to tens of thousands of dollars.

All Peoplecare combined, Hospital or Extras covers include 100% ambulance cover to ease your mind and assist with the costs.

Queensland and Tasmanian residents don’t need to worry about ambulance travel in their states, as it’s free. Queensland residents are also covered by their state when travelling around Australia.
