If you’ve got Peoplecare extras cover, you’ll get no gap preventative dental*. If you don’t have extras cover, don’t worry, all Peoplecare members have lower out-of-pocket costs^ thanks to our 10% member discount on all dental services.

Not a member (yet)?

If you don’t have Peoplecare cover, we’ll still look after you with great prices. And you can claim with any fund (on the spot if they use HICAPS).

*‘No gap’ means there are no out-of-pocket costs on a selected range of dental treatments (as long as your annual dental limit hasn’t been used). Preventative dental covers consultation, scale & clean, X-rays and fluoride.

^Lower out-of-pocket costs for dental means that the schedule of dental fees is discounted for Peoplecare members. Pricing structures are reviewed regularly and are subject to change without notice. Not available with any other product discount or special offers.

Dr Akhilesh Pavin

Senior Dentist

Akhi, our senior dentist, loves hitting the gym, a game of cricket, meeting new people on his travels and making everyone around him feel comfortable.

Dr Akhilesh Pavin, aka ‘Akhi’, is our senior dentist. He obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in India and commenced his dental career in Australia in 2010 as an associate dentist in Moree before joining our team 3 years later.

Akhi has an extensive and varied dental career; before coming to Australia, he worked in a hospital setting in India; assisting in oral surgery and major trauma, he lectured at a dental college for 2 years sharing his knowledge and supporting training dentists.

In 2011 his passion for dental implants was sparked, and in 2013 received his Certificate in Implantology. This specific area of dentistry has continued to be an area of great interest for Akhi inspiring him to undertake courses for advanced surgical training in Implantology in Columbia in 2014.

Akhi graduated from his Masters (MSc) in Oral Implantology from the Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany in 2019 and earned a fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Most recently, Akhi has attended a global course in India focusing on advanced soft tissue and bone augmentation to further develop and expand his surgical skills.

Over the past few years, Akhi has turned his attention and expanded his skills into the world of Orthodontic treatments through Invisalign. This platform has allowed him to further explore structural and cosmetic dentistry solutions.

Dr Mouhamad Al Koudmani

Dentist

Mouhamad, one of our dentists, loves time with his family, travelling the globe, giving his green thumbs a go in the garden and making a visit to the dentist pain free.

Dr Mouhamad Al Koudmani obtained his first degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1998. Since then, he has been able to stay at the height of the evolutionary dental sphere through ongoing continual education including completing Master of Science in Implantology and Dental Surgery in Germany.

Prior to becoming a practitioner at Peoplecare in 2013, Mouhamad was functioning as a high-ranking dental surgeon for the Westfund Dental in Lithgow. He also practiced at HCF Dental in Sydney’s CBD.

Being a technically proficient dentist, Mouhamad can offer a wide array of diverse dental treatments ranging from general dental to more advance cosmetic and implant dentistry.

Dr Jasanmol Singh

Dentist

Dr Jasanmol Singh, aka “Jazz”, joined the dental team in early 2023, after graduating from the University of Sydney, where he studied a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in Dentistry.

Jazz has a proactive and result driven attitude. He is an excellent listener and focuses on providing tailored, ethical, patient focused treatment plans.

Jazz specialises in general preventative and restorative dentistry; utilising cutting edge technology to provide outstanding patient outcomes and improve patient comfort. He is passionate about providing solutions and exceeding patient expectations.

Fun fact: Jazz also has a Bachelor of Science (Hon) from Monash University. When he’s not at work, he loves travelling the globe, visiting breweries, as well as spending quality time with friends and family.

Dr Arash Sharafi

Dentist

Dr Arash Sharafi joined Peoplecare Optical and Dental having completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Tehran. Arash also has additional training in aesthetic dentistry, implant dentistry and endodontics.

Arash practiced dentistry in Tehran for 8 years while successfully completing the Australian Dental Council exams, receiving certification in 2010 and becoming a registered dentist in Australia.

Arash has been living in Australia since 2014 and has worked across Victoria and New South Wales, becoming a member of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons in 2015.

Fun Fact: In his spare time, Arash enjoys reading, documentaries, classical music, and gardening.
