Orthotics Specially designed shoe inserts that support the feet and improve foot posture. Orthotics must be prescribed by a podiatrist, chiropractor, physiotherapist, bio mechanist, pedorthotist or orthotists.
Ante-natal classes Ante-natal classes often include preparation for labour, birth and early parenthood. Post-natal classes can include settling, going home with your baby, breastfeeding and bathing your baby.
Home nursing Supportive care provided in the home and assistance to ensure the activities of daily living are met. Visits to the home must be provided by a registered nurse under the direction of a Medical Practitioner.
Speech therapy Speech pathology is the assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. Speech pathologists can help with problems with speech, language, communication, fluency or voice, or problems with swallowing food or drinking safely.
Health aids & wellness Health aids includes things like ante/post-natal treatment, blood glucose monitors, blood pressure monitors, CPAP machines, crutches, glucose testing strips, home nursing, walkers, wheel chairs etc.
Hearing aids A device to amplify and change sound to assist people with hearing impairments.
Psychology Psychologists deal with people in their everyday lives or within their work environment to help them function better and to prevent the development of problems in mental and physical health.
Allergy treatment Allergy testing by allergists and selected injection treatments used by allergists.
Surgical equipment/health aids Selected health equipment, health aids and services.
Health management programs Claim some of the costs of approved health-related programs e.g. weight management programs or nicotine replacement therapy.
